Expo Imaging's ExpoDisc make Custom White Balance super simple, all
you have to do is place the ExpoDisc at the end of the lens you would
like to use. (Notice that you will have to have the correct filter size
for each lens, I would choose the lens you most use for portraits)
Set
the camera to manual focus mode, point the camera in the direction that
you would like to shoot. Press the shutter and BAM you will have your
grayish photo showing up.
Go to your menu, set camera to custom
white balance. Use the image you just took as your custom white balance,
and start shooting your portraits.
One thing I learned when
shooting, if the lighting changes dramatically you will have to do your
custom white balancing again, to insure the best possible outcome.
This
will save you a ton of time in post production, when trying to get the
correct color. It's worth every penny. The best part is that they are
affordable.
